SHARP Recovery Grant Application

Sponsoring Organization


This is the organization submitting the application. The sponsor organization is responsible for overseeing the grant and must be a non-profit located in Kansas.

Project Director


This person is responsible for management of the grant and will submit final reports. All official correspondence and contracts will be sent to this person.

Fiscal Officer


This person is responsible for accounting of grant funds. The Fiscal Officer cannot serve as the Project Director.

Project Narrative


Estimate how many people your organization serves annually (in a typical year before the pandemic). This number includes in-person public events, media broadcasts, web-based activities, or a combination of all three.

  • Job positions (include job title, brief description, and monthly or hourly salary and benefits)
  • Contract or consultant personnel and their fees
  • Utilities
  • Rent (note that funds cannot be used to pay mortgage)
  • Equipment or technical upgrades (cannot exceed 20% of grant award)
Budget Form

Use the budget form below to provide a clear description of your request.

Funding request amounts are divided into three categories based on an organization’s annual budget:

  • Organizations with an annual budget of $100,000 or less may request up to $5,000.
  • Organizations with an annual budget between $100,000 and $400,000 may request up to 5% of their budget ($5,000 -$20,000).
  • Organizations with an annual budget over $400,000 may request up to $20,000.
Salaried and Contract Staff
"Salaried and contract staff can include salary support, full or partial, for positions critical to the cultural organization’s mission for up to two months. This includes both full and part-time staff members and the request can include benefits. Funds must be used immediately.

Authorizing Official and Submit


Enter the name of the person (such as president, dean, or executive director) who is authorized to approve an application on the organization’s behalf and who will agree to comply with the certifications below.

Entering your information below indicates that the statements contained in this application are true and correct to the best of your knowledge and belief. Your entered name also certifies that the Sponsoring Organization is in compliance with the provision on Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; the Americans with Disabilities Act; the Age Discrimination Act of 1973; Labor Standards under Sections 5(i) and 7(g) of the National Foundation of the Arts and Humanities Act of 1965; and the regulations issued pursuant thereto by the National Endowment for the Humanities (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 45, Chapter XI). The entered name also certifies the sponsoring organization is not debarred, suspended, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation in federal assistance programs in violation of the regulations implementing Executive Order 12549 "Debarment and Suspension."
